From 1973 to 1983, Morgan Nields was President and CEO of Fischer Imaging Corporation. In 1983, he became President and COO of Diasonics, Inc. Following the rescission of the Diasonics/Fischer merger, he returned as Chairman and CEO of Fischer Imaging, but on December 31, 2003, resigned as Chairman of Fischer Imaging to pursue the development of INTIO, Inc., a venture-backed development company. He recently returned to his leadership position at Fischer Imaging.
Mr. Nields is a former long serving Chairman of the Diagnostic Imaging and Therapy Systems Division, Board of Governors of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA, now MITA), a $120B trade association. He was also a board member of the publicly traded companies Columbia HCA, Smith Laboratories, Fischer Imaging, and Diasonics Inc., and currently serves on several private corporate boards.
Mr. Nields received a BA degree from Williams College (1968) and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College, Tuck Scholar (1970).
