“As a member of Lincoln Church Ministries and practicing mental health therapist, I felt encouraged and inspired after attending The Prostate Cancer Awareness Virtual Event. As a result of their concern about increasing rates of prostate cancer among black and other minority males age 40 and over, they requested and received a grant to explore casual factors and prospective treatment strategies to reverse this disturbing trend.
The depth of knowledge of the presenters and their commitment to eradicating this health problem in minority males was heart warming and motivating.
Impressive strides are being made in prostate cancer, identification and treatment as a result of the multi-ethnic and multi-cultural collaboration among professionals in the medical, religious, educational and mental health fields.
During this time when we are constantly witnessing mindless violence, chaos, and lack of caring among fellow human beings, this collaborative effort not only restores my faith in humankind but also reassures me that God truly is still in charge.
Bravo to each and everyone who labored to put this event together”.
