BOSTON — It’s not often that you can get seven political candidates all seeking the same office to agree on something.
Four Democrats, two Republicans, and two independent candidates running for governor took time out of their campaign schedules this month to record a video to raise awareness about prostate cancer. The video was recorded in the run up to the state’s Sixth Annual Prostate Cancer Awareness Day on June 19.
Recent studies show that prostate cancer is responsible for more deaths in Massachusetts than breast cancer.
“I applaud the candidates for participating in ‘We All Agree’. This video underscores the goal of Prostate Cancer Awareness Day by encouraging men to take charge of their health care,” said Dr. Faina Shtern, President and CEO of AdMeTech Foundation, one of the sponsors of the video and prostate cancer awareness day.
