July 15, 2015 – Broad legislative support for the AdMeTech-led advocacy led to the allocation of $500,000 for an FY16 state program in prostate cancer awareness and education for the second consecutive year. This is the first program in the nation to have a unique focus on prostate cancer in general and high-risk men in particular.
From the AdMeTech Foundation President:
I want to express my personal, deep gratitude to the state lawmakers and members of the Joint Advocacy Coalition who made this possible. In particular, we want to thank leaders of the Massachusetts Prostate Cancer Coalition, YMCA/Men of Color Health Awareness, American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network, and the New England Area Conference of the NAACP.
Our thanks to our outstanding consultants, our many friends, and volunteers! Together, we will create a Massachusetts model of national leadership in prostate cancer care and ending this major health disparity.
