Addressing a Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce forum, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) announced her support for more consistent funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for more biomedical research to save both lives and money, as well as to promote economic growth throughout the country.
This is especially relevant in her home state of Massachusetts, where hospitals and research universities, which receive funding from NIH, are driving economic factors.
Massachusetts has long been a pioneer in health research, including understanding and treating prostate cancer.
